Candle Care Tips

  • You want your wick to be about ¼ " in length before burning. Trim the wick to this size for every subsequent burn. We recommend only trimming wicks on cooled candles, to prevent debris from falling into hot wax.

  • Make sure the surface you are placing the candle on is flat and even. In addition, you'll want to make sure the surface is heat safe, away from gusts of wind, and out of reach of pets, children, and drapery.

  • When your candle is lit, it is important that wax melts across the entire surface, in an even pool to prevent tunneling (The concave shape your candle can form that creates uneven burning.) An even burn usually takes 2-4 hours. Ensuring your candle melts evenly during every session will help your candle last longer.

  • Keeping your candles free of debris and your wicks trimmed to the appropriate length is the best way to avoid soot and smoke. If soot does occur, it can be easily removed with a plain paper towel or some with a touch of coconut oil.

  • When not in use, keep candles closed and stored in a cool, dark environment.

  • Blowing out your candle is not generally encouraged. Instead, we recommend extinguishing the flame with a snuffer or dipping the wick into its wax and straightening it back up. This will prevent smoking and hot wax from splattering.

  • Don't burn your candle down to the last bit. Although it seems tempting, candles need a solid base of wax and without it, creates overheating.

  • To maximize your scent throw, keep windows and doors closed in your desired area and let burn for about thirty minutes before entering. Open windows and doors will disperse the fragrance more, lessening its concentration.

  • Please use it responsibly. Do NOT leave candles burning in unintended areas.

  • Unwind and enjoy!
